The Grande Innovation Academy Library
The Grande Innovation Academy built the addition of a library in the fall of 2022. The library is being named after Christina, a reading interventionist, who passed away but had a love for reading. Check out Christina’s Corner when you visit the library.
Libraries encourage scholars to read for pleasure by supplying a wide range of genres, authors, and topics for personal exploration. Libraries support independent reading, writing instruction, are an additional source for project research, and relevant reading material.
The Book Fair is Coming!
This year, we’re proud to offer two book fairs for our families! Our fall book fair will take place October 9th-10th and October 14th-15th. Our spring book fair will take place April 21st-25th.
This is a great opportunity to connect with your scholar over the thrill of bringing home new books to dive into again and again. Studies show that kids read more when they choose books for themselves. And fostering a love of independent reading leads to a wide variety of benefits—including academic success and improved mental health.
Friends of the Library
Adding a library to our nest is an exciting addition. While we live in a digital world, school libraries help with improving literacy and developing engaging readers. Libraries remove socioeconomic barriers by offering free resources and books. The addition of our library will give our scholars the opportunity to read beyond their class level, find information needed for research, increase productivity, and improve their academic success.
The “Friends of the Library” campaign will help us meet our goal. Sponsorship, local businesses, and families supporting the Friends of the Library campaign will leave a lasting impression on our scholars.
There are three tiers of Sponsorship:
- Platinum for $1,000 comes with an 8 x 10″ plaque
- Silver for $750 comes with a 5 x 7″ plaque
- Bronze for $500 comes with a 4 x 6″ plaque
