Grande Innovation Academy strives to make the learning as hands on as possible to align with our Core Knowledge Domains. Each trip supports the objectives taught in the science and social studies, as well as listening and speaking standards. Each trip requires a fee in order to pay for the program and transportation. We charter buses for each trip. Our annual fundraisers such as cookie dough help offset the cost for our scholars.
Grade levels K-3rd attend two trips a year that are located in either the Phoenix or Tucson area. These trips take place during the school day: 7:30-4:00. Parent chaperons are encouraged to volunteer their time. Please read the Chaperon Policy for requirements.
Overnight Trip Information
We have planned overnight trips for each grade level 4th-8th grade. These trips are for scholars and teacher/staff chaperons, with the exception of the 4th grade trip, which requires parent chaperons. If you don’t want your scholar to attend the trip work will be provided for them to complete in another class either above or below their grade level. Scholars with any loss of points will be allowed to go upon administrator approval only. (See Scholar Handbook, Section: Discipline)
This information is provided to you so you’re aware of the costs and deadlines. Each grade level teacher will have parent meetings to explain each program in-depth and provide specific trip details.
