Casa Grande, Arizona – The Co-Directors, Holly Johnson and Megan Olson and the Casa Grande campus Principal, Patty Messer have been working together to re-charter the Casa Grande campus. With the district office being over 80 miles away, all agreed a rechartering would better serve the Casa Grande community allowing all decision making aspects to happen in Casa Grande. Patty Messer started the process and received approval on the recharter December 14, 2015.
The Odyssey Preparatory Academy Casa Grande campus is now the Grande Innovation Academy. While the name and the charter has changed, the core values and commitment to Casa Grande have not. The Grande Innovation Academy still focuses on teamwork and high achievement. They will continue to infuse technology into all aspects of their programs, as well as including multiple language acquisition, arts, music and hands on learning techniques.
Patty Messer, the Principal of the Odyssey Preparatory Academy Casa Grande campus, is now the Executive Director of the Grande Innovation Academy. She is devoted to growing their program and tailoring it to the needs of their Casa Grande scholars. Next year, for the 2016-2017 school year, she will be adding on an additional building allowing for growth, offering grades K – 8th and a complete gifted program.
